Delta Chi Psi Community Service Weekend!
Over the weekend Delta Chi Psi was hard at work performing community service across various areas of Philadelphia. First off, on September 22nd Delta Chi Psi helped set up and manage a carnival for Holy Redeemer Church and School. Brothers manned several fun and exciting carnival style games for the local children to enjoy and explore. A lot of people from the community came up to the event which made the experience so much more enjoyable and worthwhile for our brothers. We definitely look forward to future events at Holy Redeemer and can’t wait to help out.
On Sunday September 23rd, Delta Chi Psi assisted BPSOS with their Viet Vote initiative. Spread across various asian centers such as Hung Voung Supermarket and Super 8 Supermarket, our brothers reached out to the community and urged them to register to vote for this upcoming 2012 presidential election. Our efforts, combined with the support of senior members of BPSOS were not in vain. Our teams across Philadelphia were able to grab the attention of a significant number of American citizens who had not previously registered. Our collaboration with BPSOS was a great success and Delta Chi Psi plans to assist them further in the near future to help get as many citizens as possible to register to vote before it is too late. My brothers and I had a great time helping out with the community this past weekend and we have no plans of stopping here. Stay tuned for future Delta Chi Psi community service and on campus events.
