Stop the Pain Campaign: End Child Sex Slavery & Human Trafficking

This past weekend the brothers of Delta Chi Psi hosted the Stop the Pain Campaign with Teens Organizing Pro-activity of the Cambodian Association of Greater Philadelphia (CAGP). This event was to help raise awareness and continue the fight against the inhumane enslavement of children and young women in Southeast Asia. Children are being sold into human trafficking and exploited through sexual slavery. We hosted this event because we believe it is up to our global community to come together to end this modern day man-made issue!

Temple Greek Week 2014 Recap

Hello everyone! The past week has been very busy for the brothers of Delta Chi Psi due to all the fun Greek Week events. We participated in various events such as Greek Sing, Can Creation, and the Banner Competition for Temple University’s Greek Week 2014. Delta Chi Psi performed a skit for Greek Sing; a showcase performance event where organizations put on a performance to encourage Greek unity on Temple University Campus among the multiple Greek councils across campus.

Greek Olympics 2014

On April 6, 2014, the brothers of Delta Chi Psi Fraternity, Inc. participated in Temple University’s 2014 Greek Olympics. This Greek week event is made for Greek organizations to compete against one another in order to promote Greek unity. Participating in this event was an amazing opportunity to build bonds with our fellow Greeks. It was an extremely fun day, even though we all felt the sunburn the next morning!

Temple University’s 3rd Annual Walk A Mile In Her Shoes Men’s March to Stop Rape, Sexual Assault, & Gender Violence

On March 19th 2014, Delta Chi Psi was pleased to take part in Temple University’s 3rd Annual Walk A Mile in Her Shoes. This event’s goal is to raise awareness of domestic violence, rape, and gender violence. We participated in this event by wearing women’s high heels, and we proceeded by walking a mile around campus to grab public attention and make a statement towards an issue that deserves much more attention than it does today. Delta Chi Psi was fortunate enough to participate in this event for the past 3 years. We will continue to support the event not only to support our own anti-bullying campaign, but also to support those whose lives have been affected by rape and gender violence.

BPSOS Tet Festival!

As the Lunar New Year kicked in, we the brothers of Delta Chi Psi felt that we needed to give back to the Asian community. On February 9th, 2014 we worked with BPSOS at South Philadelphia High School, to help celebrate the Lunar New Year. The event included Lion Dancing, food, games, a Chinese Chess Competition, an Ao Dai Fashion Show (Vietnamese traditional dress), and exciting raffle prizes throughout the day!!  We had our own station where we would help others design and paint the traditional Vietnamese hats. Huge thanks to the BPSOS organization for having us, it was an awesome experience being able to help out!
